Just recently, the author of architectural videos blog shared with us a video on OMA’s founding partner Rem Koolhaas‘ lecture which he gave at  on October 20th. His lecture was given on the occasion of opening Milstein Hall, the new extension to the faculty of Architecture, Art and Planning designed by OMA.

Sir Peter Cook is 75 and to celebrate the iconic British architect and Archigram co-founder’s birthday, 75 established and emerging international artists have produced a portrait of Sir Peter to auction for charity Architecture for Humanity aiding post disaster relief in Haiti and Japan. Both the auction and exhibition started on October 26th and runs until November 9th.

A New Day – Artists for Japan


Takashi Murakami x Christie’s New York: 

Takashi Murakami and Christie’s New York are teaming up to hold a forthcoming art auction with a special section dedicated to provide support for the victims of the March 11 Tohoku-Pacific earthquake in Japan. A New Day – Artists for Japan is expected to reach $5 million USD, and will be donated to the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Global Giving and International Medical Corps. Effects of the unfortunate natural disasters continue to take their toll and these organizations seek to provide relief and support to survivors. The auction will include works from some of the most well-known names in contemporary, all personally selected by Murakami himself. Included are a handful of pieces from such artists as Yoshitomo Nara, KAWS, Aya Takano, Damien Hirst, and of course, Takashi Murakami, amongst others.

Barbara Chandler's Love London Range!

Photographer and Journo for the London Evening Standard's Home and Gardens section, Barbara Chandler, has published a book of her London snaps from many years of living in the city.

Following the Book launch, Barbara has gone on to Brand the 'Love London' range. The extended collection includes Tea Towels, Murals, China, Aprons and even a modernist-style Chair.

Piranha was commissioned by Silverstein Properties to create a short film depicting the completion of The New World Trade Center site. Piranha wrote, produced, art directed, filmed, and finished all vfx for this inspiring piece marking the 10th year anniversary of 9/11.

Louis Vuitton are launching the second instalment of their Double Exposure digital project. The project embraces one of the oldest photography techniques, the collodian wet plate process to produce black and white images, then teams them with videos and digitally capture images of the sitter to create a kind of ever evolving montage
